================================================================================ The complete C64 music collection Jens-Christian Huus ================================================================================ Editor worktunes in NewPlayer v04.13 - v05.01, 1988. This directory contains the very first tunes I did in the editor. These tunes are too old to be loaded into the new editor v3.04 - if you try, you may be able to play it, but you edit them you will find yourself in a world of trouble! The editor v3.04 found elsewhere allows you to edit worktunes from v05.02 to the very latest v20.G4, the last player I made on the C64. The first editor for player v04 was a very strange prototype version where no sequences existed - all three tracks continued endlessly. It was my original idea that a packer would compare certain parts of the music and figure out what could be split up into sequences. It didn't last long until I realized that this would have been too cumbersome! The second revision worked from player v05 and is basically the editor system which I enhanced all the way to v3.04. The fact that no sequences exists in editor player v04 and that no packer was done is primarily the reason for not spreading any tunes from the first editor. ================================================================================ TEST02_1.DAT Test 02.1 The first tune made in player v04 using the editor that didn't use sequences. TEST03_1.DAT Test 03.1 Another tune in v04. TEST04_3.DAT Test 04.3 The last tune I did in player v04 for the sequence-less editor. This tune was very interesting due to the fact that I actually composed the chords on a keyboard, something that was very unusual to me at that period. TEST05_1.DAT Test 05.1 The first tune in player v05.01 using the improved "pile" editor with sequences. TEST06_1.DAT Test 06.1 TEST07_1.DAT Test 07.1 The tunes in player v05.01 became longer and longer... TEST08_1.DAT Test 08.1 Last tune in player v05.01 that is imcompatible with the editor v3.04. ================================================================================
